Christen Bergman, DDS, MS

Dr. Christen Bergman is a board-certified periodontist, trained in all aspects of periodontal and implant dentistry utilizing the latest materials and technology available.

Dr. Bergman's specialty is soft tissue cosmetic surgery and laser periodontal therapy.  Dr. Bergman focuses on total body health and wellness in addition to achieving and maintaining periodontal health.  She provides personalized care to meet the physical and emotional needs of her patients and utilizes minimally invasive techniques to achieve positive treatment results.

Dr. Bergman grew up in Hayden Lake, Idaho; water-skiing on Hayden Lake and snow skiing at Schweitzer have been some of her long-time passions.  After graduating high school from Gonzaga Prep, Dr. Bergman attended Westmont College in California.  From California she moved to Omaha, Nebraska where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Creighton University.

While Dr. Bergman was in dental school she was a patient of Dr. Nygaard, who reconstructed her smile with anterior dental implants.  It was this experience and her esthetic outcome that inspired her to become a periodontist.

Dr. Bergman completed three additional years of specialty education at Loma Linda University, where she earned a Specialty Certificate in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry as well as a Masters of Science degree.  Dr. Bergman is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Bergman worked as a periodontist in Orange County, California for three years before joining Dr. Nygaard in May of 2017.

Dr. Bergman is happy to have returned to Spokane where she can enjoy the area lakes and mountains with her family and friends.  She enjoys golfing with her husband, Jake, and spending time with her baby girl, Charlotte.
